"Under the leadership of Reince Priebus, who really brought the party back to its core, back to its grassroots, the party has been outstanding." Scott Walker, Governor of Wisconsin
Grand Old Partisan honors Reince Priebus, elected Chairman of the Republican National Committee this day of 2011. He had promised delegates: "I will keep expenses low. I will put in strong and serious controls. We will raise the necessary funds to make sure we are successful. We will work to regain the confidence of our donor base, and I will personally call our major donors to ask them to rejoin our efforts at the RNC."
The savvy and selfless attorney was re-elected in 2013 and 2015. Due to his leadership, the party's finance, ground game, messaging and technology are superb. Priebus is the 63rd person to chair the RNC and the 3rd longest-serving.
Five days after victory, President-elect Donald Trump announced that Priebus would be his White House Chief of Staff.
Clarence Thomas cited Back to Basics for the Republican Party in a Supreme Court decision.
"This is the most amazing book about politics that I have ever read. The Overview should be required reading for anyone with even a minor interest in government. The remainder is an enthralling history lesson that I will never forget. For years, we have all been misled about the true nature of the GOP. This is the real deal! Read it and be proud!"
"Michael Zak wrote the definitive history of the GOP."
"Your book is a national treasure. I'm always recommending it to people."
"Back to Basics for the Republican Party is the most significant contribution to the Republican Party in the last twenty years apart from Ronald Reagan."
"Back to Basics for the Republican Party is more important to our party now than ever before."
"one of the best books I ever read"
