Yesterday, Grand Old Partisan attended the Mitt Romney rally in Fairfax, Virginia. It was an encouraging sight to see thousands of people, including many teens, lined up to enter the park where the next President of the United States would speak. Considering that it was on a Thursday morning, turnout was high.
Compared to a similar event four years ago, the local Republican Party was much better organized. Throughout the wait for the security check, for example, staffers and volunteers came along to sign people up to vote, to volunteer, and so on.
The weather was superb, and so was Mitt. A sometimes hoarse voice conveyed energy and sincerity and competence.
His five-point stump speech was just what the audience wanted to hear. He will lift the obstacles Obama has imposed against domestic energy production. He will stop Obama's cuts to our military. He will end Obamacare. He will remove Obama's burdens on small business. And, he will reverse Obama's barriers to exports.
In contrast to his wretched opponent, Mitt Romney really is fired up and ready to go.

I love Romney's charisma. Whether or not you agree with his political views. You gotta admit he is a awesome public speaker.
