Whatever happened to Samantha Power? Once a media darling, the Irish-born Special Assistant to President Barack Obama has dropped from sight.
She remains, nonetheless, Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights at the National Security Council. The wife of Cass Sunstein, the Regulation Czar, she is still a highly influential advisor to Barack Obama.
Here is Power smirking at Jewish-Americans and calling for a military invasion of Israel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-O5XxXm8wPE. Let's not forget that she is on the board of the International Crisis Group, funded by George Soros.
Whatever happened to Samantha Power? Whatever happened to her Responsibility to Protect doctrine? Obama's botched military intervention in Libya, that's what happened! She was the foremost advocate for "kinetic military action" against Libyan government forces. And now, the president is claiming that, despite a congressional deadline, the War Powers Act cannot prevent him from continuing his R2P bombing attacks in Libya.
The conservative punditry should not allow Samantha Power to slink away to (a well-paid, influential) oblivion within the administration. She must resign.
