On April 4, 1865, Abraham Lincoln arrived in the former Confederate capital, Richmond. Overjoyed, dozens of former slaves gathered around the Great Emancipator. An African-American man dropped to his knees before the Republican president.
Lincoln said: "No, no. Don’t kneel to me. That is not right. You must kneel to God only, and thank Him for the liberty you will enjoy hereafter."
Barack Obama's image as a messiah was key to victory by the Party of Slavery, aka the Democratic Party. And so, it came as no surprise at all that today in Chicago an African-American man knelt to the Democrat president.
Michael Zak is a popular speaker to Republican organizations around the nation, showing office-holders and candidates and activists how they would benefit tremendously from appreciating the heritage of our Grand Old Party. Back to Basics for the Republican Party is his acclaimed history of the GOP, cited by Clarence Thomas in a Supreme Court decision. He is also the author of the 2005 Republican Freedom Calendar. His Grand Old Partisan -- www.grandoldpartisan.com -- website celebrates more than fifteen decades of Republican heroes and heroics. See www.grandoldpartisan.com for more information.

Thanks for the link, Don. That sort of servile behavior really scares me.

In addition to being the party of slavery, the Democratic Party was also the party of segregation.

Back during the campaign, when little children were singing to Obama as if he were Jesus, I said no self-respecting true Christian would allow that kind of thing to go on. Lincoln's words are proof of my assertion. (And, at least Lincoln had kinda earned the right; what had Barry done to earn their worshipful adulation?)
But Barry was more than happy to be on the receiving end of that kind of adulation, rather than be put off by it. Should'a been a sign to all that he was unfit to lead...

Hey YahooNews - that's an SUV, not a "car" Obama's riding in.

That picture is pathetic.
It's also what Obama seeks, a country on its knees.

He's begging for more free money.
